about me

Romina Balestrino is an Argentine singer and songwriter who has been developing her musical career in Spain for over twenty years.

He studied at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory in Buenos Aires, and has subsequently enriched his artistic training with studies in theatrical improvisation and clowning.

Since his arrival in 2002, he has participated in numerous festivals, concert series, radio and television programs, not only in Spain, but also in other European countries.

In 2016 he released his first album, "Seremos Tango", followed by two more albums, "Mi versión de los hechos" in 2020 and "Te vas pensando en volver" in 2022, all of which were presented in both Spain and Argentina.

Also in 2022, he starred in the musical "Tango Tirao", a work that continues to be performed today on different stages throughout Spain, and whose songs have been collected on a record of the same title.

During 2024, he continued to present his latest work, "Te vas pensando en volver," at various festivals, alternating with his participation in diverse musical projects, such as the Glamour Tango show, which took place at the Palau de la Música in Valencia.

Throughout 2025, Romina continued her tour with the show "Te vas pensando en volver" (You Leave Thinking of Coming Back), with dates confirmed until the end of the year, and also with her tango project. She also recorded the song "Corazón al sur" (Heart to the South), by Eladia Blázquez, with the renowned Argentine singer Sandra Mihanovich.

Starting in 2026, Romina presented a new group, "Romina Balestrino Trio", with different projects, among which a show stands out as a tribute to the voices of Hispanic American poets, "I want to hear them all", which has been performed in different theaters throughout Spain.

In March 2026, she won first prize in the soloist category at the "Astor Piazzolla International Competition", held in Como (Italy), also obtaining three special jury prizes.

In June 2026, she has been invited to participate in the "Piazzolla Reloaded" concert to be held at the "Philharmonie's Chamber Music Hall" in Berlin.

Romina Balestrino is a unique artist who inimitably fuses her two worlds: her Argentinian roots and her more than twenty years living in Madrid. With an incomparable voice, Romina unites these two ways of living and feeling in her music, from both sides of the Atlantic—two worlds so different yet so alike in their passion and love for their musical identity. The result is a singular and extraordinary offering from this Argentinian-Spanish artist that leaves no one unmoved.
